Competitive Interclub Play
Please see Tennis Canada's Rating Guide (1.0-7.0) to determine if you're ready for competitive play. Have a tennis professional assess you if you're not sure what level you're playing at.
The Milton Tennis Club has a strong history of competition with other clubs in various leagues.
InterCounty Mixed Thursday Nights
Teams consist of eight men and four women who play six best-of-three-set matches (Men's Doubles 1, 2 & 3, Mixed Doubles 1 & 2 and Ladies Doubles). MTC has teams in A* (4.5+) and C (2.5+) Divisions. InterCounty A includes clubs in Toronto and surroundings, so away matches may require traveling some distance. *Great for spectators too! High level of play. Lakeshore League Monday Nights
Teams consist of four men and four women who play 2 sets of doubles and 1 set of mixed. MTC has a Division 2 (3.5+) team.
2011 Team Recruitment
Everyone interested in playing on a team (whether you have played for Milton before, are new to the Club or league play) is required to attend tryouts. Skills and doubles ability are evaluated. Team members are assigned based on tryouts and individual pro assessments. (Players new to Milton require a Pro assessment!) Part-time play for both Lakeshore and InterCounty is a possibility. League play starts in May.
Open Recruitment Players new to Milton should attend an open session (or be assessed individually by the Pro) to be streamed to specific team practice sessions.
