What is the TLP program?

TRY introduces youth to the sport of tennis.  The aim is to have fun, and help develop hand-eye coordination, balance, and a love of the sport.

LEARN will be for youth who have graduated from our “TRY” program or those who are ready to focus on developing specific skills, strokes, and tennis knowledge.

PLAY will attempt to transfer previously learned skills into match play. Youth will have the opportunity to fine tune what they have learned by playing with similarly skilled opponents.

Last year we successfully implemented some of the ‘TENNIS CANADA’ recommended PROGRESSIVE TENNIS fundamentals. “Progressive Tennis” is used as a developmental tool to allow young children to improve their overall tennis skills faster so they can transition to the regular court with more ease. Smaller courts and racquets are used.
